Maybe someone else would like to pick up minikeepass and make it live again? KeeWeb by the amazing antelle We all know what Apache httpd and its mods are, but let's talk a little about KeeWeb (Github repo): It's basically written in HTML/CSS and JavaScript, and it's based on KeePass, so you get almost all the features of the KeePass desktop app. Yes, you can just go to, but if you want to try hosting it yourself somewhere, it may seem like a real challenge. The challenge with using this tool, however, is that it's not exactly the easiest to get running on your own hosting server. Not sure what to do with it though, we won't be able to develop it. The amazing web-based tool KeeWeb is perhaps one of the better ways to make Keepass databases work for you in a cross-platform environment. I understand the pain of not having an iOS app, new ios password management integration is quite handy and living without it takes some additional time finding and copy-pasting passwords (also security issues regarding copy-pasting). On the other hand, KeeWeb can create new databases as well as sync data through a Dropbox account. KeeWeb, as a web application supported by Github, allows you to have KeePass databases offline on your desktop without having to open them in the browser. If this concerns you, you can download the index.html file, put it to your server, and protect it with a proper CSP, then you know for sure that it won't be able to send anything anywhere. KeeWeb is application software that enables you to open, browse and edit KeePass database files. But you never know for sure.Īpp. doesn't save anything, apart from encrypted file content to Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. ![]()
